This band is receiving a lot of hype. Matt Pond PA has been called "emo for grown-ups" by Rolling Stone. Definitely a must hear for fans of Death Cab for Cutie and Iron and Wine. The band contains a cello player in the regular line-up which adds beauty and a unique edge to their sound.
The current release called Several Arrows Later has earned accolades from several tough sell music reviewers. I checked out their Chicago show at the Double Door last week and was greatly impressed. MPPA puts on an energetic live performance that leaves you never bored and thirsty for more.
